Tim Fleming, 3rd Report
An in-depth look into the numbers & $$$ of his political consulting & lobbying work
As previously reported in this space, Tim Fleming - Brian Kemp's longtime right-hand man and current lobbyist & political consultant - is running for HD 114 of the Georgia General Assembly.
Commentary: personally, I do NOT think Tim is the type of person we need representing Covington & eastern Newton Co in the Gold Dome. A lifelong, taxpayer-subsidized government bureaucrat, there are now major concerns with the breadth of his new hustle — lobbying & political consulting — since there would seem to be an obvious conflict of interest were he to be elected.

Now, these were the questions I’d previously put to Tim Fleming.
1. How much money have you made as a lobbyist the last two years?
2. Same with your political consulting work?
3. Do you - or any consulting firm, LLC or other entity you’re involved with - currently do work with Brian Kemp as a Candidate or in his role as Governor?
4. Isn’t it true that the process for selecting the new voting machines that eventually went to Dominion started prior to 2019 & in fact begun when Kemp (and later his successor) & you were a part of the Secretary of State’s office?

I have not heard anything back.
The following is information that I have researched as well as materials provided to me by an informed source. I feel comfortable publishing it.
It answers most of the first three questions.
- Fleming made approx $85K from the Loeffler campaign
- Fleming has made over $300K from Kemp’s campaigns
- Fleming has made upwards of $100K from his lobbying work the last couple of years
So, basically, right at a half a mil. Damn, good work if you can get it, right?
But seriously, I don’t like it.
And!
…on top of all of this, Fleming - in his last full year as the Kemp’s Chief of Staff - made $210,000 including over $10K in travel & expenses. And prior to that, he was averaging around $120K per year in salary & expenses as the Deputy Secretary of State his last few years in that capacity.
So basically Tim has made over a million dollars the last seven years, all of it either paid by taxpayers or by politicians (in the case of Kemp) getting paid by taxpayers.

That’s the 3rd Report.
I’m going to do at least one more post to hopefully answer question 4.
